In addition to being the owner of Windy Acres Stable, Angie is an intermediate instructor with CanTRA and a licensed instructor with Equine Canada.  She teaches in both the therapeutic riding and riding school programs here at W.A.S.

I began my equestrian journey at Eglinton Equestrian Club, riding anything and everything under the guidance of European Hans Reimer and Olympian Robin Hahn. With over five decades of combined mentorship in Classical English riding and a B level in Pony Club, I developed a strong foundation rooted in discipline, versatility, and compassion.

My career has been marked by transformative moments—from rescuing a horse bound for slaughter to witnessing the birth of that horse’s foal and going on to ride that same horse cross country, fox hunting, on the beach, and over a 1.2 course in the sprung grass ring at the old Iron Horse Equestrian Centre. These experiences deepened my belief in the healing power and intuitive nature of horses. As a young adult, I volunteered with CARD (Community Association for Riders with Disabilities), where I witnessed how horses can connect with people on a profound level, offering support, confidence, and joy.

Today, I bring that same empathy and depth to my instruction, helping riders of all backgrounds build trust, skill, and a lifelong love for horsemanship.
